Four good reasons to choose Rosenberg

The entire range of motors, fans and box air conditioners is mainly manufactured in the Rosenberg Group’s own production facilities. From consultation and design to the delivery of ready-to-connect ventilation units, you receive all services from a single source.

Our vertical integration – from motors to controls – makes us less dependent on suppliers and allows us to respond flexibly to your requirements.

  • In-house AC and EC motor production
  • In-house impeller production
  • Fans from our own production
  • Air handling units from our own production
  • Controls from our own production

In short: we are strong and flexible when it comes to solving problems.

Foundation of
Rosenberg Ventilatoren GmbH
by Karl Rosenberg

On 10 April 1981, Karl Rosenberg laid the foundation stone for today’s Rosenberg Group by founding Rosenberg Ventilatoren GmbH in Künzelsau. What began as a small assembly company was soon to develop into a global player in the fan industry.

1983

First subsidiaries in
France and the Netherlands

Just two years after its founding, Rosenberg took its first steps onto the international stage and established sales offices in Lyon and Utrecht.

1987

Start of production for
air handling units in Künzelsau

Until now, Rosenberg has been solely a manufacturer of fans for building services engineering. With the expansion of our portfolio of air handling units, we have rounded off our range and now offer comprehensive solutions for air handling and ventilation technology in buildings.

1990

Start of production for
AC external rotor motors

With the start of its own motor production for AC external rotor motors in Künzelsau, Rosenberg strengthened its independence from suppliers and was also able to become active as an original equipment manufacturer in OEM applications thanks to the new opportunities this presented.

1994

Acquisition of French fan manufacturer ECOFIT

The integration of ECOFIT (now Rosenberg Vendôme) enabled Rosenberg to expand its portfolio of motors and fans in smaller sizes and strengthen its position as an OEM manufacturer.

2001

New production plant for ventilation units in Glaubitz

Start of the new production plant for air handling units in the new federal states. The production of air handling units was relocated from Künzelsau to Glaubitz (Saxony) and expanded.

2002

Acquisition of ETRI and launch of Rosenberg USA

Purchase of French fan manufacturer ETRI via subsidiary ECOFIT. American company ETRI Inc. thus becomes a separate branch in Charlotte: Rosenberg USA Inc.

2003

Start of Rosenberg China in Shanghai

With the founding of Rosenberg China and the start of production and sales of AC motors and fans, Rosenberg entered the Chinese market.

2005

Start of development and production of our own EC motors in Künzelsau

Since 2005, we have been focusing on the in-house development and production of energy-efficient EC motors. They offer high efficiency with low power consumption, integrated monitoring functions and, thanks to the integrated control electronics, extended options such as pressure control.

2006

Takeover and relaunch of ROX Klimatechnik GmbH

Rox has been part of the Rosenberg Group since 2006 and operates under the name Rox Klimatechnik GmbH. Since the takeover, the company has developed significantly and is now an independent and reliable partner for the development and manufacture of high-quality room and process air technology systems. The focus is on central room air technology, industrial process air technology and the purification of contaminated exhaust air.

2008

Certification of air performance test benches by TÜV-SÜD

With the certification of our test benches by TÜV-Süd, the reliability and accuracy of our air performance measurements has been officially confirmed by an independent body.

2010

Relocation of the foundry to Medzev

By relocating its own foundry in Slovakia to Medzev, Rosenberg is strengthening the expansion of its own engine castings and further reducing its dependence on external suppliers.

Rosenberg Next Level:
