Reliable air conditioning technology
for sensitive areas

In hospitals, especially in operating rooms, hygiene is a top priority. Accordingly, hospitals also have special requirements for the ventilation of their buildings.

Airbox air handling units in hygienic design according to DIN 1946/4 meet these requirements exactly.

Hygienic design in accordance with DIN 1946/4

  • The surface design must not promote the accumulation of dirt deposits.
  • The materials used must be resistant to disinfectants and abrasion.
  • Side walls and all components exposed to air flow must be hot-dip galvanised and coated.
  • The floor, including slide rails that come into contact with condensate, must be made of stainless steel or aluminium.
  • Closed-cell seals.
  • All permanently installed components must be accessible via operating openings.
  • All components must be protected against contamination and damage during the construction period.
  • Only condensate trays with a slope on all sides may be used.
  • Sight glass and lighting are required for filter and fan units.
